Structural token opportunity
We rank crypto networks and protocols by their importance to the financial system and how much of their success may benefit their tokens.
Our research examines connections with banks, financial institutions and major businesses. We distinguish announcements and pilots from live deployments, and assess real activity through relevant metrics such as TVL, tokenized assets (RWAs), transaction volume, fees and revenue. Major planned deployments also factor into our analysis.
We then examine how that success may create token demand, how investors respond, and the impact of supply pressure.
Scores follow a consistent research framework. No single partnership, announcement or metric determines the result. These are structural assessments, not token price forecasts.
These rankings compare the 17 assets in our selected research universe. Inclusion reflects our judgment about their long-term structural potential, not whether a token is attractively valued at its current market price.
- System Importance
- Financial adoption and network strength
- Economic Capture
- How network usage benefits the token
- Market Transmission
- Investor demand
- Supply Burden
- Inflation and potential selling pressure
Higher = worseProfile
Higher Supply Burden = worse/heavier burden.
Public scores are rounded. Ordering within close or tied scores is deterministic, not a claim that adjacent assets are meaningfully separated.
Structural Token Opportunity is a durable structural assessment. It is not a price forecast, expected-return estimate, buy/sell recommendation, or current valuation score. STO measures structural token opportunity, not whether a token is attractive at today’s price. It does not score current valuation, near-term catalysts, entry conditions, market regime, flows or portfolio context.
How to read this registry
The default order follows authoritative raw STO while the interface displays the canonical rounded score. Seventeen dated assessments are available: XRP, MORPHO, HYPE, ETH, Canton / CC, Quant / QNT, Solana / SOL, Aave / AAVE, Uniswap / UNI, Avalanche / AVAX, Sky / SKY, Sui / SUI, Stellar / XLM, Chainlink / LINK, Aptos / APT, Hedera / HBAR and Maple Finance / SYRUP. All canonical asset rows now link to their assessments.
A tied public score does not establish equal underlying mechanics. Read component values, warranted ranges, confidence and profile together.
Read the methodologyHow to read the scores
- Structural Token Opportunity (STO)
- Overall structural token opportunity based on system importance, token transmission and supply pressure. Not a price forecast.
- System Importance
- Measures the importance of the underlying network, protocol or infrastructure based on institutional and business adoption, real usage, economic activity and major planned deployments.
- Economic Capture
- Fees, burns, staking, buybacks, collateral and other ways network activity may create demand or lasting economic benefits for the token.
- Market Transmission
- How strongly investors may buy or hold the token as exposure to the network or protocol’s success.
- Supply Burden
- New token issuance, scheduled unlocks and large holdings that could enter the market. Higher is worse. An unlock does not necessarily mean a sale.
- Range
- Other reasonable scores based on the same current evidence. Not price targets or forecasts of future adoption.
- Confidence
- How well the evidence supports the assessment and how much important uncertainty remains. Not a probability of success.
- Profile
- Shows whether the system assessment relies more on proven current activity, future developments or a combination of both. Current-led, Forward-led, Balanced and Developing labels remain as assigned. Profiles do not add points.
