Research Updates
We regularly review new developments involving the networks and protocols we cover.
When meaningful evidence emerges, we update the relevant research records and explain what changed. New evidence does not automatically change a score or investment assessment.
This page records accepted research updates and significant revisions, while keeping new information separate from changes to our conclusions.

CAN-PROGMAT-JGB-REPO-SANDBOX-01ADD · Scheduled / committed deploymentHOLD · no numerical change
Progmat-led DCC interim findings outline planned hands-on Canton Testnet simulation of tJGBs, tokenized deposits and stablecoins and intraday bilateral repo/collateral settlement through a standards-execution and multi-platform integration layer.
What remains unproven: A launched sandbox, Canton mainnet tokenization of actual JGBs, funded repo or cash balances, actual participant usage, ordinary paid public Global Synchronizer traffic, CC burn or externally sourced CC. The workstream is distinct from the already registered Mizuho/Nomura/JSCC Canton proof-of-concept and Avalanche Progmat securities production.

J.P. Morgan announced that JPM Coin (JPMD), a commercial-bank USD deposit token, became live on public Ethereum Mainnet for its authorized institutional clients on 19 October 2026, expanding from existing Base availability.
What remains unproven: Ethereum-chain JPMD supply, named paying clients, independently verified transfer volume, issuer cross-chain interoperability amounts, wholesale collateral reuse, proportional ETH inventory purchases or material ETH burn. Kinexys cumulative platform throughput is not Ethereum JPMD throughput.
Inspect canonical Evidence Record →HBAR-REDSWAN-REAL-ESTATE-01ADD · Live productionHOLD · no numerical change
Hedera publishes a case study identifying RedSwan as using Hedera Token Service to tokenize commercial-real-estate interests, including an Altus-related investment offering, and attributes >$5B of tokenized real estate to the broader arrangement. RedSwan Markets publicly presents >$225M of securities already onchain and a distinct >$2.5B commercial-real-estate pipeline; the aggregate figures are issuer/ecosystem-reported and use noncomparable scopes.
What remains unproven: That >$5B is independently funded, circulating, available for liquid secondary-market trading, uniquely issued on Hedera, equivalent to current chain-specific RWA distributed value, or that HBAR fees/revenue are material. Some RedSwan instruments appear in multichain distribution and venue liquidity remains restricted.

Regulated digital-asset platform Archax announced selection of Chainlink Data Streams to supply responsive pricing for GOVY, an auto-rolling tokenized U.S.-Treasury product designed for possible bank, institutional lending and collateral workflows.
What remains unproven: That institutional collateral lending is already executed at scale, GOVY collateral values, named funded downstream loans, recurring feed subscriptions/revenue or attributable LINK purchases. Archax distribution is not Hedera-specific unless chain independently documented.
Inspect canonical Evidence Record →LINK-LG-CNS-KOREA-01ADD · Infrastructure / enablerHOLD · no numerical change
Chainlink and LG CNS announced a strategic partnership to incorporate Chainlink interoperability, data and orchestration capabilities into Korean regulated-asset and stablecoin solutions. LG CNS independently serves as technology lead for Bank of Korea Project Hangang, a separate activity.
What remains unproven: That Bank of Korea or Project Hangang selected Chainlink, named completed bank deployments using Chainlink, recurring integration revenue, CRE/CCIP paid transaction volumes, or service proceeds resulting in observable LINK Reserve accumulation.
Inspect canonical Evidence Record →LINK-PACIFIC-META-JAPAN-01ADD · Infrastructure / enablerHOLD · no numerical change
Pacific Meta announced that CCIP is its preferred interoperability solution for Japanese enterprises and listed Chainlink Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) among the services offered through its institutional marketplace.
What remains unproven: A named bank using CCIP or ACE through Pacific Meta, any Japanese central-bank mandate, funded cross-chain transfer flow, contract economics or LINK acquisition.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management announced that My OnChain Net Yield Fund (MONY), a 506(c) private-placement tokenized cash-management fund, is available to qualified U.S. investors on Solana through Morgan Money and provided its official Solana token identifier.
What remains unproven: Current subscribed MONY amount on Solana, investor holdings, settled transfers, native onchain collateral use, secondary trading, or proportional SOL acquisition; parent asset manager AUM is not the fund’s Solana balance.
Inspect canonical Evidence Record →UNI-OKXICE-PERMISSIONED-STOCKS-01ADD · Scheduled / committed deploymentHOLD · no numerical change
OKX and ICE-backed OKXICE outlined a tokenized U.S.-stock trading venue expected to use compliance-gated Uniswap v4 pools on X Layer. Issuer consent/objection provisions constrain the offered names; by 23 October, Reuters reported 22 companies had objected to tokenization, up from 16 at the prior published notice.
What remains unproven: Regulatory full-launch authorization, actual tokenized stock balances, completed trades, supported issuer roster after objections, Uniswap fee-switch collections, UNI burn or buyback revenue from these planned pools, or that ICE has made public UNI token purchases.
Inspect canonical Evidence Record →XRP-ARF-RLUSD-SETTLEMENT-FINANCING-01ADD · Scheduled / committed deploymentHOLD · no numerical change
Arf and Ripple announced plans to provide short-tenor RLUSD-powered working-capital liquidity to regulated cross-border payment companies on XRPL. Arf reports approximately $10B annual global settlement volume in its incumbent business and preparatory development against proposed native XRPL lending specifications.
What remains unproven: Any specific percentage of existing $10B settled or financed on XRPL, first funded RLUSD vault or loan, recurring live borrowing/repayment, XLS-65/66 activation, XRP bridging, XRP collateral requirement, or material external XRP acquisition.
Inspect canonical Evidence Record →LINK-RESERVE-TELEMETRY-01ADVANCE · Live productionHOLD · no numerical change
Chainlink reports the Strategic Reserve accumulated 1,543,330.47 LINK during Q3, ending the quarter with 6,047,498.3150 LINK, supported by enterprise/offchain and service/onchain economics. The reserve is separate from investment product holdings and from total LINK official supply releases.
What remains unproven: Exact origins and timetables of each acquisition, a known percent of total enterprise revenue converted into LINK, guaranteed long-term retention, full offset of LINK supply releases, or a single net market-demand/sell-pressure figure derived from reserve flows.
Previously recorded: official quarterly Reserve balances grew materially during 2026 and later official surfaces showed 5M+ LINK retained.
Inspect canonical Evidence Record →SOL-ALPENGLOW-01ADVANCE · Live productionHOLD · no numerical change
Solana Foundation confirms mainnet replaced TowerBFT consensus with Votor on 21 October 2026. Validator votes are no longer ordinary onchain transactions. A 0.8 SOL fee per admitted validator per epoch is deducted from vote accounts and burned, replacing prior roughly 1 SOL/epoch validator vote fees. The validator set is capped at up to 2,000 eligible operators and migration required Agave-derived clients; Firedancer and Frankendancer were not supported at cutover.
What remains unproven: Validated sustained approximately 150ms real-world finality across market conditions, long-horizon reliability, actual cumulative VAT burn and validator counts, positive net SOL scarcity gain after removed vote-fee arrangements, resumed Firedancer/Frankendancer coverage, or more institutional settlement attributable to the upgrade.
Previously recorded: After public testnet/devnet Votor activation, Solana Foundation documented mainnet Alpenglow epoch 1064 target on 21 Oct with up to ~150ms target finality and offchain voting. Updated validator operations guidance specifies 0.8 SOL per active validator per epoch to be burned once Alpenglow starts; older 1.6 SOL/epoch proposal is not current effective amount. An Agave-derived client prerequisite temporarily excludes Firedancer/Frankendancer during migration.
Inspect canonical Evidence Record →SOL-JPMAM-JLTXX-01ADVANCE · Infrastructure / enablerHOLD · no numerical change
SEC prospectus supplement approved Solana as an allowed blockchain for JLTXX token-class share positions, alongside Ethereum. On 22 October J.P. Morgan Asset Management explicitly announced qualified investors could access JLTXX via Morgan Money on Solana and identified its official mint, confirming operational distribution availability. Transfer-agent book-entry remains legally authoritative.
What remains unproven: Independently reconciled funded Solana shares, paid institutional transfers, named investor addresses, fund-wide AUM assigned to Solana, DEX liquidity, or material SOL acquisition/fee burns. Do not confuse mint-authority token supply with third-party investor subscribed capital.
Previously recorded: SEC prospectus supplement dated 1 Oct. 2026 makes JLTXX token balances immediately available on Solana alongside Ethereum; approved/allowlisted Solana addresses may submit fund share requests. The legal shareholder record is retained by the transfer agent in conventional book-entry form.

Western Union introduced USDPT on Solana with Anchorage Digital Bank issuance and existing Stablecard channels. On 20 October, Western Union and infrastructure provider Noah confirmed that Noah was chosen to power the forthcoming Receiver Redirect mechanism for treasury, conversion, prefunding and compliance, enabling users to receive remittance proceeds in USDPT.
What remains unproven: Receiver Redirect live settlement transactions, number of supported active countries/corridors, user adoption, payment balances, stablecoin supply attributed to program or measurable SOL fees. Western Union broader customers, currencies and agent network are prospective reach, not active Solana users.
Previously recorded: Western Union launched USDPT on Solana with settlement, exchange, consumer-spend and treasury/agent pathways.

CC · Super Validator participation / institutional-market infrastructure commitmentNot in preceding Ledger → Scheduled / committed deploymentNew canonical evidenceHold — frozen Score Registry unchanged
Canton governance approved CIP-0126, titled “Marex Super Validator Weight 10,” formally adding a major global financial-services firm to the approved Super Validator pipeline.
- Analytical consequence
- strengthens high-quality institutional governance/operating commitment and Canton's distribution into capital-markets participants, but remains forward evidence until production activity is visible.
- Token consequence / boundary
- none directly; any CC impact depends on future paid public-GS traffic and marginal CC sourcing.
- What remains unproven / next verification boundary
- completed full-weight activation, named client workloads, recurring settlement/collateral volume, ordinary paid public-GS traffic, CC burn or externally sourced CC acquisition attributable to Marex.
- What did not change
- All canonical scores, warranted ranges, confidence, components, Profile and Archetype remain frozen. This is accepted evidence maintenance, not a published score or thesis change.

HYPE · public-company HYPE treasury accumulationNot in preceding Ledger → Live productionNew canonical evidenceHold — frozen Score Registry unchanged
Lion Group disclosed in an SEC-filed 6-K that it sold its entire SOL position and part of its BTC position on 29 September and used the proceeds to acquire approximately 38,102 additional HYPE. Following the reallocation it held approximately 232,900 HYPE, valued at about $20.1M at the company's reported price.
- Analytical consequence
- none directly.
- Token consequence / boundary
- hard independent outside-funded HYPE acquisition and an additional public-company treasury-demand channel beyond Hyperliquid Strategies; still discretionary/reflexive rather than mandatory capture.
- What remains unproven / next verification boundary
- durable future purchase pace, contractual lockup, permanent retention, or that this treasury demand is caused by Hyperliquid protocol utility rather than discretionary investment conviction.
- What did not change
- All canonical scores, warranted ranges, confidence, components, Profile and Archetype remain frozen. This is accepted evidence maintenance, not a published score or thesis change.

SKY · independent credit/capital/liquidity assessmentNot in preceding Ledger → Live productionNew canonical evidenceHold — frozen Score Registry unchanged
S&P Global Ratings affirmed Sky Protocol at `B-` with a Stable outlook. S&P reported combined USDS/DAI supply of about $9.5B, Sky reserves of about $92M as of 17 September against a $150M target, roughly $4.92B of lower-risk USDC and tokenized-money-market-fund assets (~50% of USDS/DAI circulation), and approximately $1B of Prime-Agent OTC lending. S&P described risk-adjusted capitalization as moderately improved while still weak and highlighted governance/holder concentration and ecosystem complexity as rating weaknesses.
- Analytical consequence
- provides high-quality independent validation of both Sky's substantial operating scale and its improving-but-still-thin capital position as Prime activity expands.
- Token consequence / boundary
- mixed: stronger reserves/lower-risk assets reduce recapitalization risk, while weak capitalization and growing complex credit exposure can divert surplus from SKY acquisition/burn or raise contingent dilution risk.
- What remains unproven / next verification boundary
- a default probability, extreme-tail loss ceiling, permanence of the asset mix or reserve trajectory, or that the `B-` rating maps directly to SKY-token value.
- What did not change
- All canonical scores, warranted ranges, confidence, components, Profile and Archetype remain frozen. This is accepted evidence maintenance, not a published score or thesis change.

UNI · regulated Japanese onchain trading gateway using Uniswap v4 hooksNot in preceding Ledger → Scheduled / committed deploymentNew canonical evidenceHold — frozen Score Registry unchanged
SMBC Nikko Securities and Nethermind are building a DeFi Gateway for Japanese investors on Uniswap v4, with Uniswap Labs, Base and Nyx Foundation supporting development. Planned pools use v4 hooks for AML/CFT and investor-protection controls, with intended liquidity spanning stablecoins, RWAs and other digital assets; AI-powered vaults/interfaces are also planned.
- Analytical consequence
- materially strengthens the institutional implementation path for Permissioned Pools by moving from generic technical capability to a named major Japanese securities-firm deployment program.
- Token consequence / boundary
- none currently; token benefit requires future fee-bearing execution that reaches the TokenJar → Firepit → UNI-destruction chain.
- What remains unproven / next verification boundary
- completed launch, funded liquidity, live Japanese investors, recurring trading volume, protocol-fee generation, TokenJar inflows, external UNI acquisition or Firepit burn attributable to the gateway.
- What did not change
- All canonical scores, warranted ranges, confidence, components, Profile and Archetype remain frozen. This is accepted evidence maintenance, not a published score or thesis change.

XLM · stablecoin clearing / synchronized settlement against RTGS RT2Not in preceding Ledger → Pilot / PoCNew canonical evidenceHold — frozen Score Registry unchanged
Nuvanté developed a Stellar-based prototype for stablecoin clearing and tested it in the Bank of England Synchronisation Lab against the RTGS RT2 environment, covering stablecoin issuance/redemption plus stablecoin-to-stablecoin and stablecoin-to-fiat flows. This evidence was present in the controlling Stellar deep-research authority but had not been carried into the canonical Ledger register.
- Analytical consequence
- strengthens Stellar's institutional clearing/interoperability fit and central-bank-settlement-adjacent technical evidence, but remains prototype-stage.
- Token consequence / boundary
- no production XLM-demand warrant beyond future conditional fee/reserve use.
- What remains unproven / next verification boundary
- Bank of England production adoption of Stellar, live commercial clearing volume, funded balances, recurring bank usage, or material XLM demand.
- What did not change
- All canonical scores, warranted ranges, confidence, components, Profile and Archetype remain frozen. This is accepted evidence maintenance, not a published score or thesis change.

XLM · live USDC/EURC card-payment settlement on StellarNot in preceding Ledger → Live productionNew canonical evidenceHold — frozen Score Registry unchanged
Wirex, a Visa principal member, launched live onchain settlement of Visa card-payment obligations using USDC and EURC on Stellar. Wirex's broader customer base exceeds 7 million users, but that user count is not a measure of active Stellar settlement users or Stellar transaction volume.
- Analytical consequence
- hard payments-production evidence linking a Visa principal member to direct stablecoin settlement on Stellar and strengthens the network's real-world payment-rail case.
- Token consequence / boundary
- mandatory XLM fees/reserves remain economically small; no proportional XLM demand can be inferred from Wirex user count or Visa reach.
- What remains unproven / next verification boundary
- Stellar-specific settlement volume, share of Wirex/Visa obligations settled on Stellar, active-user penetration, exclusivity, or material XLM working-inventory demand.
- What did not change
- All canonical scores, warranted ranges, confidence, components, Profile and Archetype remain frozen. This is accepted evidence maintenance, not a published score or thesis change.

HYPE · reserve-yield routing to protocol/Assistance FundScheduled / committed deployment → Live productionStage / fact advancementHold — frozen Score Registry unchanged
under AQAv2, stablecoin deployers share approximately 90% of cost-adjusted reserve-yield revenue on Hyperliquid USDC supply with the protocol; yield began accruing on 26 August and Hyperliquid confirmed the first payment was made to the Assistance Fund on 3 October 2026. Circle is technical deployer and Coinbase is treasury deployer.
Previously recorded: approximately 90% of relevant cost-adjusted reserve-yield economics are designed to route to the protocol/AF.
- Analytical consequence
- converts a planned aligned-stablecoin revenue stream into realized production economics and diversifies protocol revenue beyond trading fees.
- Token consequence / boundary
- creates a live non-trading-funded input to Assistance-Fund HYPE acquisition/burn economics; one payment does not yet establish a mature recurring second capture engine.
- What remains unproven / next verification boundary
- the first payment amount, durable future USDC balances/yields, repeated payment magnitude, or the long-run contribution of AQAv2 relative to trading-fee-funded HYPE acquisition.
- What did not change
- All canonical scores, warranted ranges, confidence, components, Profile and Archetype remain frozen. This is accepted evidence maintenance, not a published score or thesis change.

SOL · native business stablecoin issuance, payments, settlement and treasury operationsLive production → Live production (fact update; stage unchanged)Stage / fact advancementHold — frozen Score Registry unchanged
Open USD (OUSD) is live natively on Solana. Businesses can mint and burn 1:1 for dollars; Bridge issues the stablecoin; reserves are held through BlackRock, Lead Bank and BNY; Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe and Visa are founding partners; and the founding group has committed more than $1B to establish OUSD liquidity. Solana Foundation states more than 200 companies plan integrations.
Previously recorded: Open USD supports Solana as part of business-led multichain stablecoin distribution.
- Analytical consequence
- materially strengthens Solana's institutional/business stablecoin distribution architecture and adds a native stablecoin with unusually strong founding-partner distribution and liquidity commitments.
- Token consequence / boundary
- OUSD activity consumes backend SOL fees, but low execution costs and sponsorship mean no proportional SOL scarcity or persistent institutional SOL ownership is established.
- What remains unproven / next verification boundary
- that the full $1B commitment is already funded or circulating on Solana; current OUSD supply, settlement/payment volume, active institutional-user count, or material persistent SOL inventory created by OUSD.
- What did not change
- All canonical scores, warranted ranges, confidence, components, Profile and Archetype remain frozen. This is accepted evidence maintenance, not a published score or thesis change.
