Read APT assessment

SUI leads APT 65/100 to 50/100 in the dated structural assessment, chiefly through stronger Market Transmission and a lower Supply Burden, with a smaller System Importance lead. Economic Capture is equal at 2.50/5: neither token has established strong proportional capture from institutional financial activity. Sui's staking, storage and reserve-yield-funded purchases do not make purchased SUI permanently burned. Aptos offers a credible countercase in funded regulated assets, represented credit and observed trading execution. Those different measures cannot be added as native-token demand. Aptos's insider-vesting milestone was already anticipated in the frozen scores; it earns no second scoring bonus. Neither result establishes today's better-priced investment.

Supply Burden runs in the opposite direction: lower is better.

System Importance

3.475/5
3.25/5

Sui has the broader general onchain economy and more live-and-forward payment and credit pathways. Aptos counters with funded regulated-asset positions, a larger September stablecoin stock and meaningful observed Decibel execution. The composite assessment does not make Sui the leader in every financial function.

Full analysis, counterarguments and proving events

The strongest counterargument

Aptos has meaningful advantages in September regulated-fund balances, represented real-world credit and observed trading execution. Asset stocks, represented credit and trading turnover are different measures and cannot be added or treated as native-token demand. SUI’s higher dated structural score does not settle which token is attractively priced today.

SUI: conversion and downside tests

Watch for attributable Samsung/Paga payment activity, funded Hashi BTC collateral and completed loans, durable Sui-resident securities activity and persistent externally funded SUI demand. Withdrawal of commitments, poor conversion, material outages or growing seller-capable inventory would weaken the case. Device compatibility and announced capital commitments are not activated users or funded loans.

APT: durable execution and downside tests

Watch for sustained Decibel activity and fees without incentive dependence, burn closing the issuance gap, broader funded asset reuse and observed seller flows after insider vesting. Fading activity, application-token leakage or issuance and treasury availability overwhelming burn would weaken the case. Availability is not a prediction of selling.

Sui / SUI

live stablecoin settlement Live production

Stage: Live production · Evidence Tier: A · Active

Evidence date: 2026

Confirmed: Daya independently supports Sui as a live stablecoin settlement rail and explicitly abstracts the network token from users.

What is not proven: Sui-specific payment volume.

Token boundary: hard live SUI-holding bypass.

embedded Samsung Wallet USDC payment / cross-border remittance support on Sui Scheduled / committed deployment

Stage: Scheduled / committed deployment · Evidence Tier: B · Monitoring

Evidence date: 7–8 October 2026

first eligible U.S. rollout anticipated in last week of Oct. 2026; device compatibility does not mean users or production throughput

Confirmed: Samsung named Sui, alongside Solana, an infrastructure partner for its upcoming USDC wallet and cross-border payment service. Sui Foundation confirmed Sui USDC integration scheduled for eligible Galaxy Wallet users. Samsung cited compatibility with about 82M U.S. Galaxy devices and bank-account payouts in more than 60 countries; Bastion/Coinbase Prime provide money movement/custody infrastructure. Sui's gasless transfer architecture removes the user's need to hold SUI; the Sui Foundation explicitly states SUI is not supported in the initial wallet offering.

What is not proven: a live Samsung USDC-on-Sui transfer before rollout, user activation/chain-routing share, funded balances, economic payment volume, marginal SUI purchases, per-transfer SUI scarcity, or exclusivity against Solana.

Token boundary: no mandatory end-user SUI acquisition for the supported gasless transfers and no material new SUI capture evidence; any sponsored/infrastructure economics must be measured separately.

Aptos / APT

native USDT/USDC monetary stock Live scaled production

Stage: Live scaled production · Evidence Tier: A · Active

Evidence date: September 2026

Confirmed: Aptos held roughly $1.0B–$1.2B of stablecoins depending synchronized provider methodology, dominated by native USDT/USDC.

What is not proven: equivalent final-payment activity or proportional APT capture.

Token boundary: passive stablecoin stock can coexist with weak burn.

Scores are dated structural assessments, not current valuations, forecasts or recommendations. Confidence describes uncertainty in the structural assessment, not a rating of technical reliability. Historical balances are snapshots. Network use, native-token demand and external token acquisition are separate questions.
